Hello,

I just entered a CD into my disc drive and noticed nothing was happening. So I went to manually click on the disc drive itself, and saw that it was completely gone. When going through the troubleshooting process in Windows 7, this note came up:

A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32).

Obviously I need to re-enable this service, but I am clueless as to which one or how to do so. Any help would be appreciated!

Try following the steps for Windows Vista which should also work for Windows 7.

You're welcome.

If you are using either SoundTap or Voxal Voice Changer and you find either is now missing functionality you may have to reinstall that software to get the functionality back.

However the issue may reoccur and if that happens then I would suggest to contact the developer of the software (NCH).
