I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop. Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

Appreciate the thought, but that was the first thing I tried almost two months ago. My issue as does many with Windows 10 still exists with no response(s) to date that has acquired a solution.
Okay i have the same problem no thing worked not the ESC key or whatever, so i slid my hand throught the keyboard keys and woah, magically it worked again, so its probably some stuck keyboard key problem.

Keith I appreciate your comment, but unfortunately after hitting the escape key a stuck or keyboard issue was my next investigation. Unfortunately nothing on the forum has helped my issue, nor with the other five Windows 10 anomalies I face have any suggestions resolved the quirks I now face. I wish MICROSOFT WOULD TALK WITH ME DIRECTLY. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MY LAPTOP OPERATING WITHOUT THE SIX ISSUES I FACE SINCE WINDOWS 10 ENTERED MY LIFE.
Thanks again.
Thanks for this is, it saved me a lot of time as it was the first solution I found.
Again, many thanks, I'll pass it along giving you credit.
