I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop. Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

... once I disabled Fences I could now move desktop icons ...
This was helpful.
I really don't see why so many people feel the need to say pressing ESC worked for them over & over & over again. After one or two posts of this type the rest are completely useless/pointless posts.
I apologize for going off on a rant, but spending 15+ minutes reading the same thing page after page ticked me off to say the least. So anyone reading this, please refrain from posting "it worked" when it's already been said. Instead, just vote the answer up by clicking the 'Helpful' button.
Posts offering possible NEW solutions ARE useful in attempting to resolve the problem, but repeating the same thing constantly makes it extremely difficult to get to the posts that are actually giving advise that could be helpful.
Yes, I realize my own post is adding to the clogging of the thread somewhat, but I felt the need to inform people that repeating things like "IT WORKED", or a variation of such, is a hindrance of another's attempt to find a solution.
THanks! ToCharlesDeBrum
