I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop. Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

ESC 3 times did not work for me.
However.... being a laptop, there is no "middle" button for the trackpad.
Just connect an external mouse and tap the wheel!
Now it works just fine. Good on ya Microsoft!
Try connecting another mouse. This morning I spilt some milk on my usbconnector of the mouse. I was working on my laptop and couldn't move my icons. I disconnected my mouse and with my trackpad I could move everything.
When I'm home ill try another mouse. Good luck!
I have had a the same issue for the past week. Tried all sorts of things registry fixes, driver updates, widows reinstall nothing worked. Not even the ESC button. Found out that the only thing that would work is by replacing the mouse. My mouse was over 10 years old. New one on the same system, has not produced the same issue. Been 5 hrs.
legend mate, thank you so much! 😊
