I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop.  Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

Right-click desktop, click View, and uncheck Auto arrange icons.

If the Right click -> View -> Auto arrange icons did not work you can do the following:

Right click the taskbar. Then click on "Task Manager"

When the task manager window have come up find explorer or windows explorer.

When you have found it you need to rightclick explorer and click on end task. After you have ended it you will notice the taskbar and more stuff is gone.

In Task Manager you need to click on File -> Run new task. Then write "explorer.exe" and click "Ok".

    Hope it helps :)
