I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop. Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

It's not working for me and DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! Any other ideas out there?
Me too. It's SO frustrating!
Auto arrange was unchecked, escape key worked for me. Thanks for the post Mike!
I agree with this. Prior to Windows 10 I was using Windows 7, as well as the last available free version of "Fences". Ever since upgrading to the paid version of "Fences" (which gives you a version of software compatible with Windows 10) I have had no problem whatsoever.
I had the same problem & tried everything from checking settings, registry edits & what not but guess what..!
'Fences' an application that I used to 'fence' icons was the culprit.
I removed it & the problem was gone.
Apparently, it is not working good with Windows 10 & the latest version of fences is paid.
So if you don't want to give them your money, uninstall the previous version & be happy without it.
Hope this helps.
