Right-click desktop, click View, and uncheck Auto arrange icons.

Can't move shortcut icons on my desktop to different locations on the desktop

I cannot move my desktop shortcut icons around on my desktop. Think it has something to do with the auto-allign feature - how do I fix this ?

2015-11-17T16:26:57+00:00 Do a right click on the desktop; select 'View'; uncheck the box marked 'Automatically Arrange Icons'.

2015-11-08T20:29:35+00:00 This was also my experience. I removed the free version of Fences and everything returned to normal. While I liked Fences their lack of response resulted in my not using the paid version.
