To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
Cursor jumps around while typing
In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

2012-12-08T16:21:32+00:00 I was having frequent and frustrating problems with the curser jumping around while I type on my Dell laptop. After much online research, the consensus seems to be that it is a Windows issue, not a specific computer manufacturer issue. Apparently, the touchpad can be too sensitive while typing and the curser can get moved unintentionally and easily to another location while typing. I use Windows 7, but the problem doesn’t seem to limited to Windows 7 users. There are some suggestions to modify the touchpad settings. I saw on a number of user forums, a suggestion to download a program called Touchfreeze. http://code.google.com/p/touchfreeze/ This program disables your touchpad while typing.
I usually would rather try other solutions to actually fix the problem, than having to install a third party program. I just installed Touchfreeze and it seems to have helped tremendously. So far, the problem hasn’t re-occurred even once. Previously, I couldn’t get nearly this far without the curser moving and messing up what I was typing. You can use the touchpad simply by pausing. It doesn’t take much of a pause. Every time I’ve tried to use the touchpad, it worked seamlessly. I’m sold!

2012-12-16T09:52:49+00:00 Touchfreeze did it for me. I thought it was a virus because it just started one day. I still think it's a virus, but I've done all the scans and it still happened. When I installed touchfreeze it stopped.
