In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem.  I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it.  They put in a fix that worked.  Microsoft.  It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.

Don't know what all the fuss is about why the cursor jumps around in Windows 7.  I had the same problem on my HP laptop and ended up stripping the laptop down then eventually buying a new keyboard.  The bug was confirmed however when I started to use another laptop and exactly the same thing started to happen.  Not to worry, as long as Bill Gates earns thousands of pounds a minute when his programmers can't manage the standard of a ten year old's homework then what does it matter?  Shameful.

I downloaded Touchfreeze too!  Now, I'm having no issues.  Thank you for this suggestion and YES I hope Microsoft fixes this error.

Using touchfreeze solved this long time frustration for me.  I have posted by experience and the solutions I tried for the cursor jumping problem.

I wish there was a permanent solution from Windows for this problem instead of using a third party tool as a work around.

I too have been having this problem for months on a Fujitsu laptop with Windows 7 and it has been driving me to distraction. So a big thank you to davedock and others for the touchfreeze suggestion as I have just installed it and so far it seems to be working.

How this problem got through so called quality control beats me.
