In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
I downloaded Touchfreeze and it worked for a while--now it is not working

Situation is much improved.
I had this same problem just show up out of the blue on two different computers after some windows updates installed. On the desktop I did the control panel>mouse>pointer options>uncheck Hide Pointer while typing fix and it worked. On the laptop it didn't work so I downloaded the free touchfreeze program and left settings at default and that solved the problem. This is definitely a Microsoft Windows 7 problem that only showed up after updates were installed. I'm not very happy with Microsoft quality control at the moment.
As noted in my previous post, I've solved the problem for myself on this Win10 machine. But, since I'm subscribed to this thread, I'm following all the suggestions anyway. In my case, checking or unchecking the "hide pointer while typing" box doesn't do anything. I still always see the pointer.
Anyway, it's just a curiosity from my point of view.
