In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
Microsoft Office 365. It comes with some laptops and gives you Office for a year and then you must renew. I don't like the idea. Seems you could end up spending more money on MS Office, plus have to deal with renewals all the time, so I'd rather buy it outright. And I did, but while my computer tells me MS Office Student and Home has been installed, each program I open, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OpenNote, the only ones that come with Student and Home, have under the name of the program "365" and it looks like I got screwed there. If MS did the old switcheroo with me I may dump it and use Apache or some other Office like system.
BTW, I fixed my jumping cursor problem that was also highlighting words and whole paragraphs to delete upon the next key stroke, any key stroke. It turned out to be idiotically simple, as is usually the case. I am using a mouse connected via USB. I don't like laptop mouse pads. The computer was getting mixed signals or something like that. I saw in the mouse settings that the laptop recognized it's mousepad but it said nothing of the mouse on the USB. I shut the mousepad off and with the mouse via USB everything is fine now. No jumping, disappearing, highlighting to delete, cursor problems!
Microsoft 365 (or Office 365) is just the subscription form of Microsoft Office. Instead of buying the program in disk form and loading it, you buy the subscription for a year and then update yearly. This is the first time I have used it - and I'm not savvy enough to know what, if any, problems it may be causing. All I know is that my desktop computer and my other laptop - all HP products - do not have this cursor problem.

i don’t understand what Microsoft 365 is.
It's starting to sound like this is a Windows 10 problem … possibly a Microsoft 365 problem? I have the same problems on my Surface. I have tried downloading all the updates, but Windows updates are like exposing yourself purposely to the flu or malaria … you always end up worse afterwards! Very frustrating!
