To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
Cursor jumps around while typing
In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

2018-08-30T21:47:37+00:00 Sounds like I was lucky to find a solution for my problem, Sandra. Maybe others are having the problem because the mouse is set too fast or slow in settings, usually on medium. Just a thought. Something to try. Somehow I always muddle through despite the fact that I am still, after all these years, a knuckle-dragging technological Neanderthal. :-)

2018-08-30T21:44:30+00:00 Hope I've been of some little help. 365 … maybe it's a good deal. I just hate making payments on things and worrying about them year after year. I basically only use Word myself, Excel to keep a catalogue of books, DVDs and CDs … a LOT of books, DVDs and CDs! And these days in retirement don't have much need for PowerPoint or OneNote, or Publisher for that matter. Apache is supposed to be a good, free Office like program … a friend of mine swears by it. I have no experience with it.
Anyway...hope you can solve your problem and have no trouble with MS Office 365.

2018-08-30T21:36:34+00:00 The problem was the mouse. Can't have both the mousepad and a mouse connected via USP at the same time, so I shut the mouse pad off preferring the handheld mouse. A simple fix, probably for a problem any laptop or OS might be subject to.
Beats me. But my problem's solved.
