In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem. I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it. They put in a fix that worked. Microsoft. It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.
Thanks. I solved the problem by turning off the mouse pad I don't like to use anyway, and the mouse connected with a USB works perfectly now. May one day try a cordless mouse, though, but I keep this laptop pretty much in one spot on a laptop table, and take the iPad with a keyboard case when I go out and about. Great. That's how I solved my computer problem. I bought a new computer. Good luck with 365, should be okay.
I don't know if you can turn off a mouse other than by just not plugging it into the USB port, but turning off the mouse pad is pretty simple when you are in the settings, last tab I believe it was, just a check off … and I'm not referring to a beloved Star Trek character. (Anton, R.I.P.)
I have no experience with your equipment (my, that doesn't sound right) but upgrading seems to be the thing to do these days. All too often. Until recently when it crashed catastrophically, I was using what I called a technosaur … a 13 year old Sony VAIO. I just bought my first HP, an inexpensive one that I still had to borrow money for. And first time for Windows 10 for me … a LOT to get used to.
Dell? Here's a true horror story. My last job before I retired there was a lady who got a new computer, a Dell desktop. Soon after it caught fire. Okay. No problem. She put out the fire and Dell was very happy to give her a new computer to replace it. Shortly after that … it too caught on fire. So I say, to Hell with Dell … I'm not taking the chance, even though they probably were freak occurrences.
U have to disable the track pad. I have an Asus laptop. To turn my track pad off I hold down the “fn” key the press the “F9” key.
I know how annoying this is. It drove my crazy for months before i finally fixed it.
