In every application on my computer, my cursor jumps around while typing. I can not type fast because I have toconstantly bring the cursor back to where I am typing (just did it again right now). Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. I am not technical and have no idea how to fix or what forum this question belongs in. Please advise.

To all who have been having 'cursor jumps around while typing' problem.  I had the same problem and had my Sony VAIO support team help me with it.  They put in a fix that worked.  Microsoft.  It would be beneficial if you could contact Sony regarding this problem and access to the solution they put in place for me, since they seem to have found a solution to the problem.

The problem is far too global a problem for any of this to solve (it simply does not solve it).  IMHO It has to do with those not-so-smart things you folks do with text input.  You know, gleaning everything anyone types for your search engine gatherer so you can make more money selling user habits and interests data.  If you fix the problem your data gathering will take a big hit so you keep pretending that it must be the hardware... yeah, right.  We are not a Microsoft resource!

A software reload fixed the problem, I recall it was the touchpad driver.  Necessary to go to the microsoft website and follow the step by step instructions to remove and reinstall it, of course specific to your operating system (mine is windows 7)

I have been having this problem for about a month. Unchecking pointer precision didn't help, A download called touchfreeze has worked so far. It turns off the touch pad when I start typing.  I hope windows comes up with an update to fix the update.
