I've lost the USB transceiver for my wireless keyboard/mouse set, trying to find out where I can get a replacement for it without having to get a whole new keyboard & mouse just for that one transceiver.

Microsoft Natural Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard 7000

Transceiver says "Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver v2.0"

thanks!

I talked with Microsoft today and, yes, the person who answered stated that there are NO replacements for the receiver, and I would have to buy a new set up.  After asking to talk to someone who had some technical knowledge and getting no where, I asked for a supervisor.  I was on hold for several minutes, but I was not going to give up.  Finally a supervisor answered and after explaining that I knew something about computers, he offered to send me a whole new unit, free of charge.  And to top that off, he said he would expidite the order and it would ship to me in 1 - 3 days.

The number that I called is 800-360-7561, option 2.  Make sure that you ask to talk to a supervisor, as the people that answer haven't a clue.  They just read off of a script.  I hope that this helps someone out there.  Microsoft wants to keep their ccustomers and WILL do what it takes to keep them.

Have a great day.

    April 2017 I called the Microsoft replacement number above and was told that MS will replace, however I have to wait 3-4 weeks for them to send me a new set because each transponder is unique.  This was a business purchase and necessary for work, so waiting is not an option.  I asked 3 times to speak with a supervisor and was told by the agent that she told me what I needed and I didn;t need a supervisor, which prompted me to ask again.  They told me none were available, kept me on hold and then took my number.  Refused to let me speak with anyone.  I will report to my IT group to see if they can resolve and replace for future use.

    Supple0001  are you an AI bot - "abuse their power as a customer" - Then i think you have fully missed the point of selling.

    Frustrated customers always go elsewhere if they can;

    Also this thread is very relevant as if MS is to improve the next generation of this product then they can do it different next time and win back customers - Allow re-pairing!   Shame is MS has not indicated they listened for years now :(

    Out sourced departments only care about the cost of support not the well being of the customers - having jobsworth support people give a very poor message to customers.

    Hello, Microsoft....

    I'm not very happy with you and your products at this time. I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse & Keyboard 6000 v3.0, and also a Microsoft Wireless 3050 Mouse & Keyboard, that are now useless to me due to losing the transceiver to both of these products. It's my fault is what I was told, and that I should have been more careful! I have (4) grandchildren who love to use computers, and without having no way to replace the USB transceivers, it was said to me to just throw both in the trash! I spent a lot on both , (Wireless Microsoft 6000 v3.0 and Wireless 3050 Mouse and Keyboards).

    After contacting and speaking with "a supervisor", to be told to "throw them both in the garbage, did not set well with me or the attitude in which it was said! At this time Microsoft , you have disappointed me tremendously!

    I only wanted a little respect, and superior customer service, and I didn't get either. This makes me not wanting to continue purchasing any of your products, Apple Mac's,are looking good to me now  , after over 20 years of using a PC, and all Microsoft products, because I  have always said" Anything Microsoft is the best" !!!!

    I only wished that I got better Customer Service....and some form of satisfaction.

    Thanks for listening to a not happy with you customer.

    I am not ashamed to give you my name :

    Microsoft cell phone number is 469.559.3096, which I am not sorry to tell you, I will be buying a Samsung Android Cell Phone in the not to distant future.
