trying to get replacement USB transceiver for my wireless keyboard

I've lost the USB transceiver for my wireless keyboard/mouse set, trying to find out where I can get a replacement for it without having to get a whole new keyboard & mouse just for that one transceiver.

Microsoft Natural Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard 7000

Transceiver says "Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver v2.0"

I talked with Microsoft today and, yes, the person who answered stated that there are NO replacements for the receiver, and I would have to buy a new set up.  After asking to talk to someone who had some technical knowledge and getting no where, I asked for a supervisor.  I was on hold for several minutes, but I was not going to give up.  Finally a supervisor answered and after explaining that I knew something about computers, he offered to send me a whole new unit, free of charge.  And to top that off, he said he would expidite the order and it would ship to me in 1 - 3 days. 

The number that I called is 800-360-7561, option 2.  Make sure that you ask to talk to a supervisor, as the people that answer haven't a clue.  They just read off of a script.  I hope that this helps someone out there.  Microsoft wants to keep their ccustomers and WILL do what it takes to keep them.

    My laptop was stolen with my transceiver still in the USB port, so I called the number listed here (800-360-7561) and the first person I spoke with offered to ship me a new keyboard/mouse set free of charge. You'll need to send them your old keyboard/mouse set and a copy of the invoice from the purchase (with shipping time, it can take a couple of weeks), so this only really works if you have a backup keyboard and mouse to tide you over.

    Rather Annoyed at MS just at the moment, plugged in a new Ergonomic Sculpt keyboard/mouseset and the user in the next desk had a hour long software install cancelled by the new mouse next door!

    The whole approach of security seems to be at risk here - an existing set-up was accessible by a new mouse installed close by.

    Once the sculpt software installed on the new PC the interaction between the PC on the next desk and the new Mouse ceased so its a temporary risk.

    So un-configured mice can reconfigure to a new Key.  Now is there anyway we can put mice/keyboards back to this unconfigured state to re-pair them with new keys if partial sets fail ?

    In hindsight, betcha colleague wished he'd put £30 towards a better PC now.........just bought 4 x 3000 deskset's for office, so by all accounts only 1 will see out this year then??

    And further to the discussion why don't microspod take old one when they hand out new one, re-code a new dongle (even if it is encrypted code - i'm sure they can read it), then when next person sends one in give them that one, etc etc.

    Should stop nearly all the whining - unless it wasn't freepost of course

    I had the same answer almost a lady from Microsoft business care professionals told me to get a replacement USB transceiver for my wireless keyboard. She said any Computer place would be able to set it up if you bring in the keyboard. So far Logitech is the only brand i have found that will sell a bluetooth dongle for $9.99 that will works with any logitech bluetooth products.
