Does anyone know how to disable not delay the hover feature for Window 7. There are a lot anwsers but no resolution. I've tried them all... Did windows drop the ball, again. This is actually my second time writing this questions within the last 5 minutes. The hover feature closed my previous window which had more details. Please help. Windows, this feature was a bad idea, especially when you don't give the option to disable it.

I have done this and there is no "Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse" in the "Make mouse easier to use" page.
My O/S is Windows 7 service pack 1 64 bit
HP dv7 Pavilion 1129wm Notebook
This also occurs in IE10 - 11 or whatever Microsoft has me using.
I'd like to turn this off as well.

The dwell, auto-hover, snap-to, WHATEVER you want to call it... is very useful for my para and quad clients.
It makes a mess out of windows navigation for me. I want to click when I click... NOT when some other value decides I should click.
I have crawled thru every control panel window and turned off every hover and snap value I can find... and Windows 7 and 8 are still grabbing and clicking without my initiation.
Apple and Linux do not have this problem. Any constructive solutions?

I had the hover problem on my laptop and thought I had tried everything to no avail, Then I realized that everything I had tried/changed was for the mouse. There is a separate applet in the control panel and also sometime the system tray that has similar settings as the mouse but instead for the mouse buttons included with the touch pad. As soon as I looked into the mouse pad applet and changed the settings for the mouse pad buttons, the hover-select problem went away.
Nobody understands the problem Keyvie is having. I DO! I've tried everything but the solution. Who? knows the answer? Again! THE PROBLEM! in M icrosoft Access! not any other application. The Mouse Pointer when hovering over an object (table, query, form, macro, module) auto selects the object without clicking on it. (WHAT A PAIN) I believe i inadvertently changed a setting in MS Access to have this problem occur. I just can't find the disable feature. I've tried Folder options, Mouse properties ect..., Ease of Access, uninstalling Office 365 and re-installing, uninstalling the Mouse! This is MADNESS! I've searched the bloody Access Options high and low! Maybe there is a VBA solution? HA! Run a procedure?
