tried it, didn't work. box was unchecked. I checked it, closed control panel. reopened and removed the check mark. N/G

Does anyone know how to disable not delay the hover feature for Window 7. There are a lot anwsers but no resolution. I've tried them all... Did windows drop the ball, again. This is actually my second time writing this questions within the last 5 minutes. The hover feature closed my previous window which had more details. Please help. Windows, this feature was a bad idea, especially when you don't give the option to disable it.

... if I'm looking around a web page/ site and my pointer just goes over ( with out stopping on it, just brushes over the box ) the drop down menu will open and it will open covering what I wanted to look at so I have to move the pointer OFF the object and left click the mouse on an open spot where there are no objects to select to close the drop down menu. ......
I do not want anything to happen when the pointer touches anything unless I click on it!

I would also like a resolution to webpage menus obscuring the screen uninentionally.
This is made worse - and finding a non-active parking spot has become harder - because too many websites now have HUGE pictures or panels which act as links - presumably for touch devices.
Anyway ... I think this thread was about hover in Windows not hover in webpages.
