Problem Event Name: BEX, error message

Hi,

I'm working on a tool which is used mainly for replacing the data source location of Crystal XI report batch, this tool is working normally, but when trying to replace data source location of some reports and mainly when looping on report tables to replace the data source of each table, a Bex error is raised

by the way, DEP feature is disabled using command ==>  bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

so

i need to know what is BEX error ?

why this error is raised when working with some reports not all of them?

how can i disable or work around this problem?

Could you please provide some more information? I have included a snapshot of a BEX error for your reference. Please post the snap shot so that I can get you the resolution.

    Hello, I have exactly the same problem with a computer software for the car (crash BEX).

    My Netbook functions under Win7 I tried to follow the described procedure

    "quotation"

    "right click one my computer

    go to properties

    click one advanced system settings

    under performance, click settings

    click the Dated Execution Prevention, and then Turn click one EPD for all programs and services except those I select.

    Add click, browse to the achievable file for the program and add it*."*

    When I select the “Launcher.exe” of the program to add it to the exceptions, Windows refuses to add it.

    "quotation"

    "The protection of execution of the data must be activated in order to carry out this program, you cannot disable the protection of execution of the data for this program*."*

    What can I make?

    J'avais le même problèmes au lancement du Crystal report 2008 sur une plateforme Win2008 R2, maintenant c'est resolu : 

    Voir les étapes ci-dessous : 

    Clic droite sur Ordinateur Puis Cliquer sur Propriétés >> Paramétrés Système Avancés >> Dans la partie Option de Performances Cliquer sur Paramétrés >> Sélectionner l'onglet Prévention de l'exécution des données >> Cocher l'option Activer la prévention d'exécution des données pour tous les programmes et les services ... >>

    Cliquer sur le bouton Ajouter >> Sélectionne le fichier exécutable Crw32.exe puis cliquer sur  Ouvrir >> Cliquer sur Appliquer et OK pour valider ces opérations.

    "Commun n'est pas comme Un"

    My software is not adding to the list.. It shows the error that the program must be added with DEP or something like that. How to resolve that problem? Need urgent help.

    click Add, browse to the executable file for the program and add it.

    from Colin Kindo(email) and Anand(email)

    This worked for me as well.  Users were getting an error with efax Messenger.  Adding it to the DEP fixed on a Terminal Server for the users.
