My taskbar keeps disappearing randomly and will not come back until I restart. Once I restart the taskbar comes back and then disappears again. I have looked at the other solutions from people having similar problems and the solutions do not work.

open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager)
Click on File>New Task (Run) and enter "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)
Then click OK.
Does it come back?

This worked! Thank you so much. I can't believe that this problem has existed for more than a year and Microsoft still hasn't come up with a fix! Ridiculous!!!
Is there a fix to prevent the taskbar from disappearing in the first place?
I also am having this problem but as someone suggested above that by previewing your screensaver it comes back which worked for me. Hopefully this will get fixed soon but for now it's a temp fix.
