My taskbar keeps disappearing randomly and will not come back until I restart. Once I restart the taskbar comes back and then disappears again. I have looked at the other solutions from people having similar problems and the solutions do not work.

open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager)
Click on File>New Task (Run) and enter "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)
Then click OK.
Does it come back?

That's based on the keyboard. I have a MS keyboard with "favorites" keys (Logitech has similar functionality). These can be set up with the software that comes with the keyboard to open web pages or applications. One of them is just pointed at the .bat file with the above code.
Thank you for your suggestion....sounds good....but I am not all that computer savvy so I don't know how to do a macro and tie to hot key!
Another way to do it is with a macro. I have one tied to a hot key that executes a .bat file and performs the same functions. The code for the .bat file:
@echo off
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
explorer.exe
Even if you execute the .bat file manually (you could put a shortcut on your desktop), it will probably be quicker than going through the steps to open the task manager, kill explorer.exe, and then restart it via the new task interface.
