My taskbar keeps disappearing randomly and will not come back until I restart.  Once I restart the taskbar comes back and then disappears again. I have looked at the other solutions from people having similar problems and the solutions do not work.

open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager)

Click on File>New Task (Run) and enter "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)

Then click OK.

Does it come back?

I've found out that pressing F11 twice (Enter/exit full screen) provides a temporary fix, it only takes a second, it works for me, I hope it works for you too.

I've had this problem since May 2011  (new computer with Windows 7)- no problem before.  The ONLY work around I've found is to go into preview of screen saver which somehow "resets" the taskbar.   I've put a shortcut on my desktop so it's easy to get to and only takes a minute; still it's annoying to have to do it at all considering shouldn't most current version of Windows actually work?  Seriously Microsoft your top programmers can't figure this out?

◄that isn't it for most of us. I've been using third party screen savers for decades with all OS's. It is definitely a Microsoft problem and they should be fixing it. It just started for me a couple weeks ago and is becoming very frustrating to have to re-boot every time it happens. Let's get it fixed Microsoft!
