My taskbar keeps disappearing randomly and will not come back until I restart.  Once I restart the taskbar comes back and then disappears again. I have looked at the other solutions from people having similar problems and the solutions do not work.

open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager)

Click on File>New Task (Run) and enter "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)

Then click OK.

Does it come back?

I will verify that the screen saver idea you present above works for me as well, where my taskbar will reappear after the computer shows the screen saver.

This is obviously bigger than 1% imo.

I had the same problem and found it was an issue with one of the screensavers I was using. I uninstalled the problem screensaver which was an In The Night Garden one and hey presto...Problem solved. Might just be a coinsidence but its worth looking into.

    XANDERS,

Thanks for your input but I am thinking not all cases are cased from 3rd party screen savers since my system is brand new with no added screen savers and I still have the same issue. I have seen others post that they too have the same issue with a new system. I have seen many "go arounds" but no where that I have searched actually has a fix that works, but I will keep searching till microsoft takes their head out of the sand and puts out an update to fix it.
