ERROR CODE 80072EFE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO UPDATE IN WINDOWS UPDATE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. McAFEE installed after win security ess. uninstalled. several problems w/ programs " not responding" constantly and pc running very slow. compaq presario SR5550F

2010-12-07T12:02:20+00:00 Guys sometimes all you need to do is make sure your Date and Time are correct. If you have reset your motherboard, or your system crashed some how, sometimes the date and time are wrong, that's why windows servers refuse to connect, they get confused with the wrong time and date.

Windows would not search for updates if the date and time is wrong.
Because the date / time on the computer is too different from the date / time of the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates used by the Windows Update site...
But in this senario the error code that will be generted is 0x80072F8F
