Hi,

When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file.

As I know, you can download some free recovery software as follow to recover deleted files.

Note：Stop using the current disk as main disk, please keep it unchangeable before recovering the files.

    "Deleting" a file doesn't actually delete it; it just marks the space as available to be used. There are third-party programs that can sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by the file is likely to become overwritten very quickly, and this makes the file unrecoverable.

    So your chances of successfully recovering this file are decent if you try recovering it immediately after deleting it, and rapidly go downhill from there. If you've been using the computer since then (for example to write this question and read this answer), your chances may be very poor by now.

    But if the file is important enough, it's worth a try anyway. Stop using the computer in question immediately, if you haven't done so already. Download an data recovery software:

    If this fails, your only other recourse is to take or send the drive to a professional file recovery company. This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work in your case.

    Shift + Delete is just another word for making files "hidden".

    I do not think your statement is correct. The process deletes the pointer to the file enabling the disk space occupied by the file to be overwritten. A simple delete places a copy of the file in the Recycle Bin. Shift+Delete permanently deletes without placing a copy in the Recycle Bin. 

    After Shift+Delete has been used you can use recovery software to recover the file but not usually after the disk space has been overwritten. You can find some forensic recovery software that will still recover even after the disk space has been overwriitten but it is very expensive.
