Typing Issues (Jumping cursor...moves my text to another line while typing)

Someone please help with this Issue!!! Everytime I type my cursor jumps around and I have to keep going back and deleting and retyping. Please help

I have a sony VAIO and this problem is driving me crazy

Hi Tim,

Are you using a laptop by chance? If so, you can resolve this issue by taking a look at your touchpad options. If you're using Windows 7, click the Start button, type Mouse in the search field, and click Enter. There should be an option to change the Device Settings for the TouchPad. On many models, Synaptics is the maker of the TouchPad and has a Tab of its own in the Mouse properties. If you don't see these settings, you'll need to install the drivers from your manufacturers website.

For Dell machines, you can go to support.dell.com. Select your model and you'll find the driver under Input Device Drivers. For Compaq/HP machines, go to support.hp.com, select your model and find Keyboard, Mouse and Input devices.

I like to disable the Tap option and raise the PalmCheck sensitivity option. These are the first options I always change when I get a new laptop; otherwise I have the very same problem.

It's not just Dell computers, it happened on my new Toshiba. In fact Toshiba has the computer now concerning that issue and a keyboard that is supposed to be lit but it isn't uniformly lit, and changes every day.

I just bought a Samsung with Windows 7 and I' m having the same problem. I am a very fast typist, but this has made me stop using my pc. It's so frustrating. It has done this with every application on my pc. Windows has juroven to me that they just don't care. Their own help desk told us to use a different browser (other than their own); they ed charged me twice for duplicate software, which I can't seem to get back; and now this. Why don't I think they care?

I found a utility called touchfreeze that seemed to help. Not 100% but far better. Also disable tap in mouse properties. Hope this helps with your laptop.

This is my second Windows 7 and I'm having the same problem. The first one was installed on my daughters old Dell and I would get so frustrated, with all the jumping around, deleting etc. I just got a new Toshiba E305-S1990 special from Best Buy and it is doing the same thing. I am not computer literate so I need a ton of help. Since this is a new computer and a new Windows 7 (just over a week) I don't feel like I should have to pay to get help! I used the old Dell for about 6 months before it crashed and had to get this new computer. I have an old desktop XP and never had this issue, probably because it is a desktop. Any help would be appreciated before I return the whole thing!
