How to change monitor 1 for monitor 2

Ok... after a bit of digging, I have found an article that tipped me off to the fact that many Video Cards actually disable Windows OS from choosing a primary.  I have an NVidia GeForce GTX 980... I was able to set the PRIMARY in my "Set up mulitple displays" options.

Check with your particular graphics card manufacturer... you will more than likely find an option for setting the PRIMARY display in the gfx card settings.  Hope this helps... very frustrating!

That's not what people are talking about here.  We've all done that already.  Setting the primary or main monitor does make it so your taskbar, icons, and most programs show up on the selected primary(main) monitor.  We've all done that, that's not the issue. 

The issue is, some programs open up on the number "1" monitor regardless of where your main desktop is.  You can see in the example you linked, it shows a monitor as 1 and the other as 2.  You can set number 2 as your main monitor, but it still designates as number 2, even though it has your taskbar and icons on it.  That's the problem we're talking about.  Some programs will default open to the number 1 monitor, regardless of which one is designated as your primary(main) monitor.

Prior to Windows 10 there was an option to change PRIMARY DISPLAYS... now it is gone again with this version!  FIX THIS NAOW!

Actually, i'm on windows 7, it's a problem which has never been resolved.  Even if you make a monitor your main monitor, my extended display is still my primary monitor, it just doesn't have the taskbar and apps on it.

I have a Wacom Cintiq and I HAVE to have the Cintiq as PRIMARY MONITOR or it will NOT use the proper calibration for the pen display.  Before you give me a laundry list of **** that I have already done, please note: I have updated my drivers from WACOM to the latest; "Make this monitor my Main Display" is NOT the answer; turning off the computer and only plugging in the Cintiq through the startup DOES NOT WORK.
