i want to change the colour of the taskbar in windows 7 but how do i do it?

start > control panel > personalization > then ... window color .

    Ok, this is interesting...

    I finally figured out that my Windows Desktop Manager was disabled.  This is why I was getting the old style color setup.  Was not getting any Glass options.  Ran the Aero Fixit utility and it did not fix the problem.  After finding out about the desktop manager, I found it in the services and had to manually restart it.  NOW it is working.
