click start button and type "msconfig" and hit enter. When open goto startup tab and un-tick the program with name of "windows live" or "iexplore.exe" and hit apply and close. Hope it will help!

    Click on START

    Go to CONTROL PANEL

    Choose PROGRAM AND FEATURES

    Choose WINDOWS LIVE ESSENTIALS 2011

    Choose REPAIR ALL PROGRAMS.................................................

    worked for me....

    I repaired all programs then I got WINDOWS LIVE ID SIGN IN ASSISTANT I applied and closed application

    I started again  then I still have this error message.

    Would somebody can help me ?

    What I find terribly troubling about this thread is that no one wonders why the link doesn't resolve.  I understand that it was an old link and Microsoft doesn't want to support it anymore.  But a lot of people are still having this problem.  Why doesn't Microsoft have an active web page with suggestions at that web address?

    This worked (and thanks for the advice), but it can be dangerous to delete an executable unless you are sure that it does nothing useful.  It's safer to change the extension of the filename to your initials (or some other identifier), so that you can change the file back to an .EXE if necessary.
