click start button and type "msconfig" and hit enter. When open goto startup tab and un-tick the program with name of "windows live" or "iexplore.exe" and hit apply and close. Hope it will help!

I agree that the information offered so far has NOT resolved this warning as it keeps coming up every time I start/reboot the computer so let us have a solution tested by Microsoft that works for us ALL urgently

2014-12-25T21:33:28+00:00 Similar problem occurred with my window 7 machine in the last day. Seemed to be after installing the latest Adobe Acrobat update. is is a break in internet explorer?
I have downloaded and ran the Microsoft Safety Scanner and had no issues or removed software.
Looks like a failed upgrade of some sort that has broken a background IE service?

I have done what you said, but neither 'windows live' nor 'iexplore.exe' are listed on the startup tab within the system configuration, yet every time I turn this computer on, this same message pops-up. What can be done to resolve this?

It has security issues. Download the 2012 version from Microsoft and choose which options you wish to install.
My fwdlinkId=144689 error went away
