Nope, thank you for taking the time to try and help, but didn't. My startup programs do not have windows live in them. Maybe if I did the opposite and had my windows live ID in startup that would have the reverse affect. I will try and see what happens.

Neither of these are listed on the list. Now what?? I keep getting notices that MSN is not running..but when I wait a bit, it comes back. This is happening with alarming frequency!
