click start button and type "msconfig" and hit enter. When open goto startup tab and un-tick the program with name of "windows live" or "iexplore.exe" and hit apply and close. Hope it will help!

2014-07-22T22:39:39+00:00 Hi James w/Microsoft. This applies to me for sure. I did install a little program called 'Driver Update'. Never had problem before this. Paid over $29 to down load, they had the Microsoft guarranted logo. so I downloaded. I installed because Microsoft no longer supports Win 7 Vista.
If I uninstall the 'Driver Update' prog will this clear up my issue?
I get this error box when sign into my PC on my desktop ...
Win Live ID Sgin-In Assistant:
"There was a problem that caused parts of the Windows Live ID Sign_In Assitstant to be disabled. you might not be able to sign into some programs. The problem may have been caused by a recrntly installed program. For more information, go to: http://to.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=144689"
If I can uninstall the recently installed program to clear this up I would prefer that as opposed to going into the config and messing around.
Please advise.

2014-07-18T01:55:36+00:00 This didn't work for me, but uninstalling Windows Live Essentials 2011 did! It can be easily reinstalled if you actually use it. I don't, so I am leaving it off of my machine.
