USB 2.0 Video Capture Controller for Windows 7 (64-bit)

Windows 7 (64-bit) cannot find a driver for "USB 2.0 Video Capture Controller" and therefore I am unable to install my EasyCap USB 2.0 Video Capture device. Windows Update was no help. Does anybody know if there is a driver anywhere that will work SPECIFICALLY for Windows 7 64bit? I've tried several drivers for Vista64 but they didn't work....

I have a EasyCap DC60 on Win 7 x64, I found these drivers worked for me perfectly.

1.      Who is the manufacturer of the device?

2.      What is the model number?

3.      Is it working on a different computer?

4.      When was it last working fine?

If you are unable to find the drivers you might have to contact the manufacturer and check if the drivers are available for windows 7.

You may open this link and click on the Fixit button. It might fix the issue related to USB devices.

    You probably have the "made in China" fake (I do) rather than the Taiwanese EasyCap. EasyCap have now changed their name to EzCap because of the fakes

    You can download the full CD that includes the driver that works with Windows 7 64 bit herewww.eecrest.com/Drivers_and_Manual/1045.rar

    Don't plug in the device and hope windows will pick up the driver from the disk, it won't!

    Run the setup first and plug in the adapter when it asks, the driver is not certified, but I tried it after searching everywhere and it works

    Thank you, the driver works just fine.

    I have one question though.  I'm trying to grab NTSC video but can only get it in black and white.  The only setting to give me colour freezes the frame - any suggestions?

    Never had any probs when I was running XP - I now have Windows 7 Home Premium

    If you have Windows 7 (64-bit) Professional then the answer is simple.

    1. If you haven't already done so then download and install XP Mode and Virtual PC - free from Microsoft.
    2. In normal mode with the device plugged in, open device manager and locate the video capture device, select it, right click to access properties and click uninstall with the remove drivers checked. Similarly locate and remove the USB audio device. Remove the capture device from the USB.
    3. Locate your driver CD (XP) that came with the device. Don't insert it yet. Start XP mode from the start menu and wait for the Virtual Machine to initialise. Now insert the CD and start the installation programme. Install only the drivers and exit the installation.
    4. Insert the Easycap into the USB port. In the middle of the screen at the top of the XP Mode window you will see "USB" click to drop down the menu and you should see the USB capture device. Select and click "attach".
    5. Install the U-Lead video editing software from the CD (still in XP Mode). You should now be able to select the device and adjust its settings. Provided that you have selected the correct device and sound then all should now work and you can capture video.
    6. As far as I can tell the U-Lead software is a cut down version and will only allow selection of the specific device id that goes with the drivers. This is why other drivers will not allow correct capture even though they may display video in the window.
    7. You will have to use the USB capture device from within XP Mode but with a reasonably fast machine high quality capture is not a problem.

    This is the only way I know of solving all the problems discussed on the Web unless somebody comes up with the CORRECT 64 bit drivers that will also correctly identify your device and give it the correct device name for use with U-Lead.
