Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service

Whenever I try to check for solutions in the action center of Windows 7, I get the following error message: Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service. Some of the reports could not be uploaded to the Windows Error Reporting service. Please try again later.

This issue started appearing a few days ago, even though I didn't make any changes in my computer. I don't have any firewall (except for the default Windows firewall) and all my other programs work just fine on the Internet.

Any ideas what might cause the issue?

Problem solved.

I actually had to purge all the existing reports using the Disk Cleanup utility.

    I am also having Error reporting issues. I have followed your advice and have the same issue, still alll programs have internet access exempt for error reporting, i also am plagued with many Blue screens. not very impressed with win7.

    yea so what's the real solution to this? your solution is not the solution. it appears a lot of others are having the same problem.

    Yes, the problem still exists.  Although my Win7 installs behave much better with the patches to date; this is one issue that has not been addressed.  I hope it is on the list of items to solve in the next service pack.  Unfortunately, my feeling is that it is way down the list of things to fix priority wise.
