Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service

Whenever I try to check for solutions in the action center of Windows 7, I get the following error message: Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service. Some of the reports could not be uploaded to the Windows Error Reporting service. Please try again later.

This issue started appearing a few days ago, even though I didn't make any changes in my computer. I don't have any firewall (except for the default Windows firewall) and all my other programs work just fine on the Internet.

Any ideas what might cause the issue?

Problem solved.

I actually had to purge all the existing reports using the Disk Cleanup utility.

    This was 2009 but looking at my version of Win.7 , I type Services and 3 on the top level come up in the window and 5 results in the lower.  I really need someone to virtually hold my hand through this because my machine has just bluescreened last night. I was able to recover it using Vaio Assist, and its looking very likely to happen again now.   I'm going to feel my way forward using your instructions but am improvising and using similarity and common sense as a guide. If you can help I'd much appreciate as there is constantly a problem connecting to the problem resolution service and this is the only thing that can save my Data without a backup system available am worried much.

    What a waste of time.....I just read all the posts pertaining to the original......problem connecting to Windows Error Reporting whatever. It spans a couple of years AND STILL NO SOLUTION to the problem. Hope Bill Gates is enjoying himself. I bet he doesn't worry about sy=tuff like this...OBVIOUSLY.
