    @ JB_867

I've posted the following already various times in this long old thread...

Microsoft decided to make things complicated for Windows 7 users. The Microsoft Fix It Solution Center does not exist anymore. That's why the old link doesn't work anymore.

This is now the official "help" link for Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/previous-support#1TC=windows-7

BUT: Not as comfortable as the original FixIt Center but here are all FixIts listed

**List Of Microsoft Fix It Solutions - gHacks Tech News**

    Cheers,

    J

Many Microsoft links don't work any more. I've been trying to locate the Microsoft Fixit center but can't find it. It is so frustrating. Even the link shown above doesn't work, such as Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum.  I started using Firefox to have a good working browser.  Ever since I installed Windows 10 it has been ****, with Internet Explorer. With IE 11 I can't logon to my Youtube account and the spell check doesn't work on Facebook. Yet everything works with Firefox.

    Spell check issue on Facebook

The Microsoft Fixit was very helpful, but I can't find it anymore to fix certain problems. What I really don't understand is why spell check works in this field but it doesn't work on Facebook when creating a new post. I would suspect a Facebook problem, but they have NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT what-so-ever. All they do is send provide us with the following message.

Thanks for reporting: Spell check does not work when typing a comment to a post. It does work when chatting and creating a new post to replace "What's on your mind"

Thanks for the link to the gHack Tech news - very helpful. I'm doing a fresh install of Win 7 on a new hard drive and went to do updates and received error code after 15 minutes. Dang it, I should have written error code down or taken a snip. I restated the computer and went to do the updates and it's been just sitting there for 50 minutes now making no progress. I thought that there may have been a work around this issue. g Hacks does offer one, but I'm not at that step yet. Why does M$ make it so impossible to use their systems? It should be very user friendly by now after all these years of development. All the earlier threads in this link are dead. I would not use any of the third party software provided on the search engines because you don't know how they have been tweeked and if you use them, well you put your system at risk.

Also, I had a freshly formatted hard drive I wanted to use to install windows 7 but received Error 0X803000024  another good curveball M$ throws your way when trying to install their systems. Welcome to computer H*ll.
