Original Title: I want to download the complete mr fix it tool, but I can not find the location to do this.
I have downloaded this to my windows ep computer, but I can not find the donload when I am on my windows 7 computer.

"that fixit@microsoft program that checks , and fixes, the registry for errors" was the Windows Registry Checker Tool (Scanreg.exe) [XP] KB183887 and it was withdrawn years ago. See also the MS follow-up KB2563254 published in 2011.
Whilst there might be some websites that offer old copies of scanreg, there really is no telling if it works at all let alone whether or not it works reliably.

But I'm still looking for that fixit@microsoft program that checks , and fixes, the registry for errors.
I had it once but it seems to have self-destructed.
Ghacks had lots of good info on my problem, but every link they listed just kicked me
back to Msofts 239 pages of 'solutions' that were less than no help at all in my case.
