network printer shows offline

In windows vista my cable network printer shows offline now. Everything else is fine i can still go onto the internet etc. ??

right click on (Network)Printer , choose Properties , go to Ports tab, choose Configure Port , then un-check SNMP Status Enable option,

I had same problem and this solution solved for me, hope this will help for u.

    "An error occurred during port configuration. This operation is not supported"

    I'm getting this message if I try to configure the port.

    There is nothing with the initials SNMP showing when I open Ports.

    What are you people talking about? 

    Mine shows the printer port to be WSD .... and there is no SNTP
