network printer shows offline

In windows vista my cable network printer shows offline now. Everything else is fine i can still go onto the internet etc. ??

right click on (Network)Printer , choose Properties , go to Ports tab, choose Configure Port , then un-check SNMP Status Enable option,

I had same problem and this solution solved for me, hope this will help for u.

so why is it that i have run this step by step guide every time i want to print some thing off yes thats right every time i want to print i have delete the printer and reinstall it to print an yet with my mac i can switch the network printer on an off till im blue in the face an my mac will see it as online or offline windows what gives

i also have a epson printer

I solved the problem by dumping my HP and getting an Epson. I gave up on the HP.

Trying to get the proper driver for my dell 660 to communicate with my HP Officejet 6500e710A printer. When computer was first purchased (may 25, 2013) all worked fine. Now the computer does not communicate with printer at all. all is on a wireless setup. can scan information, that is on printerwithout any problem. This failure has taken place over a period of time. Has now ceased completely. Probably need to apply a different driver for the HP to communicate? MARPLE44
