I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W laser printer that works quite well, I just updgraded to Windows7 from XP but my printer doesn't work anymore. It appears as PP1350W in the "Devices and Printers" window as an unspecified device. I tried installing the Vista Drivers for the Page Pro 1400W and now that printer appears in under "printers and Faxes", however the PP1350W is still listed as an unspecified device and printing to the 1400W does nothing. What's worse is not I can't even remove the 1400W no matter how many times I tell it to remove, it just automatically pops up again. Is there a generic driver out there for the PagePro 1350W that will work in Windows7 so I can at least have basic printing functionality?

From what i see in the Compatibility Center there are several versions of the PagePro printer that are compatible but the 1350 is not listed. The 1100 and 1400 are listed but not the 1350. I would check with Konica to see if they have updated drivers for your specific model or see if the drivers for one of the other models can work with your printer.

I just wanted to confirm that this works!
I have Windows 7 x64, and I installed XP Mode. Once you start up XP Mode, you need to click the USB dropdown menu at the top of the XP Mode window to connect the USB printer. This disconnects it from the Win 7 host (which can't do anything with it, anyway). Then, you can install the drivers for it from inside XP Mode.
I used the pp1350w_gdi_winxp_vista_v1611121_en_inst drivers.
I've only begun to mess with it, but I haven't been able to share it from XP Mode so that Win 7 can print with it. It's probably impossible. Oh well, at printing from inside XP is possible.
I have the same problem. I have windows 7 64 bit on a compaq presario computer. Have had no luck in finding a driver for my Konica-Minolta 1350W printer. Would like a solution to this. thanks
I just put together a new computer with the Windows 7 professional 64 bit. and Minolta PagePro 1350W printer. I try to install the printer driver for the last 2 weeks. I have tried everything. I also have all the problems as everybody else. Install failed, can not delete the unspecified device.
Now, I installed the driver on one of the windows XP network computer. and I also enabled the printer sharing. I have checked it works fine. I also installed the 1400W with 64bit driver on my new Windows 7 machine as a local printer per your suggestion. But I got lost right there.
what does it mean
I am not that computer smart. But I can manage it most of the time. Because Windows 7 is new to me. I have to learn how to use it.
Can anybody explain to me in detail how to do it.

Tried this on March 2, 2011, on a Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 64-bit laptop and on a Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit desktop. In both cases, I cannot find a driver in Windows Update for the Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W.
Probably your report of success was for a 32-bit version of Windows 7.
