Planning on updating office computer. Our Tech doesn't think our lotus will run on the new Windows 7 64 bit. Need to confirm.

I am running now Lotus 123 and Wordpro Millenium editions.
My PC has Windows 7 64 bit.
I can say that MS may have done something, I had to say good bye to this suite and other programs like Crystale 3D Impact Pro and gams even before W7, with Vista, but then one game was abel to run, I didn't pay much attention to that and altough I thought maybe Lotus could run I didn't make an attempt, until now.
I think MS did domething, made a legacy or XP support behind W7 so older programs can run.

Now I do not know what to use if Softmaker/Ashampoo Office 2010 or return to my well loved Lotus Suite.

I tried all of the previous tricks to no avail. I finally decided to follow the CD instructions.
I clicked on Install and it loaded first time.

I have been looking for it for years now; there is no program like approach.
Not to mention Organizer.

Lotus SmartSuite works well on Virtual Windows XP., I have worked with it over a year now.

2011-08-21T03:39:44+00:00 Everyone agrees that you can not install it using autorun, and I am one of many who have successfully installed it using "setup". I've installed it in Win 7 Home Premium as well as Win 7 Professional.
After one install Approach was taking forever to complete certain tasks such as a sort. After a few weeks of wondering why it was running so poorly I took a look at the file properties and found it had been installed in a USB external hard disc instead of on "C". After I uninstalled it and installed it on C everything was again cooking just like I was used to. I usually watch where a program is being installed so I don't know how I missed noticing that it wasn't going onto "C" the first time it installed.
A suggestion. If the entire suite is balking at being installed you might try just installing those features that you really use.
I'm a new convert to the iMac computer and would love to find a database for that format that is nearly as good as Approach. It would have to be something that will import one of the file formats that Approach can export to. Otherwise I'm sure I'll be running Approach forever.
