Planning on updating office computer. Our Tech doesn't think our lotus will run on the new Windows 7 64 bit. Need to confirm.

IBM is marketing Lotus now, so it's up to them.  http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/products/smartsuite/

If it works on Vista, it's very likely to work on Win7.

    Smartsuite 9.8 on WIndows 10, 64 bit

This did the trick!  Tried every option listed above but mine was still trying to install to E:  same drive the CD was in. Copied all the files to the C: drive, formatted a CD and put it in E:

    Outstanding!

Will Lotus SmartSuite run on Windows 7?

A resounding YES!  I downloaded it from:

    https://archive.org/details/LotusSmartSuite99

You can download as a torrent file or collection of .exe files.  There is a collection of 22 files, in 11 different languages, but you only actually need to download two of them.  These are the two files of your chosen language.

LotusSmartSuite 9.8 - Int English.exe, (or your chosen language),

    Fix6_1 - InternationalEnglish.exe, (or your chosen language),

Just double click each .exe file in turn, (I used default settings), and it will decompress, install and clean up temporary files.

All programs running perfectly on my Windows 10 x64 bit system!

    In reply to HMH55:

At last, I have made it!  The problem is definitely the size of the HD - I suspect that 1T is the trigger threshold at which Lotus won't install in the usual way.....but have taken 800GB as the size to shrink to.

Go to 'Start/administrative tools/computer management/storage/disk management'....then right click the unacceptably large C: drive and follow intructions to 'Shrink Volume...'.  Copy over the files from the SmartSuite CD to the HD (I used a sub directory 'Lotus files' in the 'Downloads' directory) and invoke 'install.exe'.  Should be plain sailing thereafter.

A great relief to have my considerable number of legacy files back again!  Thanks to all who have worked on this.
