will Lotus SmartSuite run on Windows 7?

Let us know if you find such a program to run on a Mac.

I have been looking for it for years now; there is no program like approach.

Not to mention Organizer.

Note.-

Lotus SmartSuite works well on Virtual Windows XP., I have worked with it over a  year now.

Everyone agrees that you can not install it using autorun, and I am one of many who have successfully installed it using "setup". I've installed it in Win 7 Home Premium as well as Win 7 Professional.

After one install Approach was taking forever to complete certain tasks such as a sort. After a few weeks of wondering why it was running so poorly I took a look at the file properties and found it had been installed in a USB external hard disc instead of on "C". After I uninstalled it and installed it on C everything was again cooking just like I was used to. I usually watch where a program is being installed so I don't know how I missed noticing that it wasn't going onto "C" the first time it installed.

A suggestion. If the entire suite is balking at being installed you might try just installing those features that you really use.

I'm a new convert to the iMac computer and would love to find a database for that format that is nearly as good as Approach. It would have to be something that will import one of the file formats that Approach can export to. Otherwise I'm sure I'll be running Approach forever.

Lotus SmartSuite v 9.8.1  WILL NOT LOAD onto any computer running Windows 7....  Registry error fault

Hi, Thank you for posting this and I had same problem and I did exactly said above. When I loaded CD i had three options Run option didnot work for me since it gives me registry error.So I use view files option on the cd and shows all the file .  in that select the setup smartsuite, nothing else and it will work.
