Planning on updating office computer. Our Tech doesn't think our lotus will run on the new Windows 7 64 bit. Need to confirm.

IBM is marketing Lotus now, so it's up to them.  http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/products/smartsuite/

If it works on Vista, it's very likely to work on Win7.

I also have Smart Suite 9.8 (two different versions, in fact), win 7 64 bit. Tried double clicking "setup.exe" and "running" it too (not sure there's a difference) under various compatibility settings (XP and Vista). I get a progress indicator for about 20 sec then nothing. Setup.exe does show up in Task Manager processes but still nothing. Haven't gotten far enough to choose single applications over the full suite or point it to a install location as some of you have indicated.

I'd love to install this, as some of you have, without installing the virtual machine if I can avoid it.

Any thoughts on what I might try differently to get it to work?

Failing that, any other resources you might direct me to?

What I do have is a Lenovo, Windows 7 32-bit.

I asked for a Virtual Windows XP installed in order to work with Lotus. It works perfect, I installed Lotus SmartSuite 9.8 and have had no difficulties in 6 months I’ve worked with it.

Here is a download; just make sure you can do it without harming any other part of your system.

    It really works.

It doesn't work on Windows 7 64 bit. Apparently does work with 32 bit.
