Window 7 will can not Backup or let me do a system image backup.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7, but when I try to do a complete backup or system backup, it fails.

I started to do a full backup to dvd, it took hours and stopped  at 84%,  I also tried to backup with system image, but this faild,  I tried to backup to an external drive 80GB drive and window said this wasn’t big enough.

Why cant I  backup Windows 7.

    I agree with you! I really wish Windows would resolve this problem, but until the big dogs figure this out, I also will be using a 3rd party software. This is very sad, as I'm sure they make big $$ . I'm just a retired colon cancer survivor that tries to help seniors with their computers and I never charge. I will be 75 years young tomorrow LOL.

    Hi! I do not wish to cause any problems here. You have a very serious problem here and it is very evident to me , there is not just one fix to this problem. I will use a third party software to back up my important files and OS until this is solved. I have searched and believe that I have tried every thing, but I am willing to try any more suggestions. I will say that I was very satisfied will W7 until this problem. I guess that's pretty good, but please solve this. I can do a PSR zip and attempt to attach it, if that will help. However, I do not see that option available lol.

    Hi ! I'm very sorry if I'm out of line here. I'm trying to learn and pass it forward. I have tired every thing. I use to be able to create a restore of my W7, but one day it stopped working and now I get this error code Ox80070002 and nothing I do works. I can create a system image, but I can not create all user . This is very flusterating to me. I have other software that lets me create back up images of my OS ,but I would really like this to work also. I will try any thing that is suggested and report back.

    Found my problem and solve it with:  External drive was not formated with proper extentsion. Re-formated the external drive (lost all files) and then did a "System Image" and thabn a "BACKUP" with no problem.
