How to completely remove Copilot from Edge?

I've already disabled Copilot in the sidebar. I've toggled off "Chat response on result page" in the search settings. I want the Copilot AI disabled from the search result page, preventing automatic chatboxes on searches, and not activating when scrolling to the top of the results page.

you need to do the Alex Arteaga1 exercise to kill it at the Group Policy level.

That will only work though if you have the ability to do it. If you're on a managed device then you need to reach out to your Head of IT and plead miserably with them to have a CoPilot free world pushed out by default. Only then if you want it should it then be foisted on you through moving you into a GPO that activates CoPilot.

Personally, if you're listening Microsoft, you have forced a monster on people. I tried to do my research but CoPilot kept taking control like HAL - "I'm sorry Barry but I can't let you read that, read my version instead". Make AI an Opt-In.

Yes, it's really a pain when your "Copilot" turns out to be a Hijacker instead!! Copilot totally ruined the Edge browser. I am switching back to Google as my default search engine and start page and not using Bing anymore. That's a shame! I enjoyed the Bing search engine up until Copilot was introduced.

I completely uninstalled Copilot in Windows 11 Pro using Revo Uninstaller Pro and no signs of Copilot appear anywhere on my machine & Windows settings or Edge browser.... right up until I open Bing search and then Copilot acts like a hijacker. Enough is enough!!

    Microsoft doesn't care!

I have Chrome as my default browser. I removed Bing from that.

I have also set Chrome as the search engine in edge and removed Bing from edge.

Really not enjoying M$ experience these days - and my IT service length pre-dates Billy Boy's products...

Quite Agree - but that is the whole AEGIS of Windows 11.

It is quite difficult to set the Options you need - most particularly the Mouse, and the 'quick access to Word & Excel via Taskbar Icons
