Browser getting blurred frequently - Windows 11

Hello All,

Hope you're doing well,

Recently, I've updated Microsoft Edge Browser and it frequently gets blurred automatically. After some time, It gets back to normal. When I checked this problem on the Internet, It asked me to turn off Hardware Acceleration in my Browser.

I turned off & restarted the browser but I am still facing the same problem. I've attached a screenshot of how it looks. Could anyone help me fix this issue ASAP?

Thank You :)

Regards,

Advaith N Aithal

I don't believe an Admin specifically turned this on. I, nor my Admin turned it on. Even if they did, the user Performance settings in Edge should override any Security Policy settings if they were set (if the documentation is correct) - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#sleepingtabstimeout.

I have noticed that I can only replicate this with Microsoft Edge for Business and running 2 or more windows. I usually have Outlook and Music apps running as PWAs in the background. If I don't click on any of these other windows for an unknown period of time, all windows are blurred out. I have to either Alt+Tab to ANY (including the current active) window, or explicitly open one of the other background Edge browser windows. Someone mentioned a relationship to Teams. This could also account for others saying Teams is related to the issue, if Teams is running in a browser.

I still see no fix, going to start switching the team across to Chrome today. I can't afford the interruptions to Client presentations.

According to the MS tech in this thread, the fix will be in Canary build tomorrow (9/22/2023), and plan to roll out to Stable version within a week.

So yeah, hold on for another week.

Thanks Eric! I will hold on another week.

The irony is Edge blurred out while posting this reply.
