Hello All,

Hope you're doing well,

Recently, I've updated Microsoft Edge Browser and it frequently gets blurred automatically. After some time, It gets back to normal. When I checked this problem on the Internet, It asked me to turn off Hardware Acceleration in my Browser.

I turned off & restarted the browser but I am still facing the same problem. I've attached a screenshot of how it looks. Could anyone help me fix this issue ASAP?

Thank You :)

Regards,

Advaith N Aithal

Locking and unlocking your Windows 11 screen fixes the issue (at least temporarily).

This just started happening to me today after I was notified that Edge was updated.

I've run multiple versions of multiple browsers on multiple machines for many years. This is the first time it has happened for me ever. I am running Edge v.117.0.2045.31, on Win 11 Pro v.22H2, all updated. I am running an NVIDIA card and turned off hardware acceleration. This appears to have solved it, but this shouldn't be a permanent workaround.

I am also experiencing this issue, beginning today, September 18, 2023. Mine is also occurring only on my work profile in Microsoft Edge. It does not occur in other browsers, and it is only the page, the title bar does not blur. Version 117.0.2045.31 (Official build) (64-bit)

Same issue here. I noticed it started when I went into a Teams meeting. I have a blurred background, and the blur effect between Teams and the browser window was identical. I wasn't sharing a window at the time. But the browser blur cleared up as soon as I left the meeting.

The same thing is occurring with me
This only started today for me (though I had a reboot late last week so browser patches probably did not get applied until over the weekend)

I am running the dev branch

An additional noticed behavior above what others have already reported is I run 3 windows against two different profiles (work and personal); when the window blurs, it all windows/tabs for that profile (so if work goes blurry and I have multiple windows open all of that profile but not the other) goes blurry.
