I also have the same bug (or change?) in my favorites folders. I'd be glad to know how to get my yellow folders back instead of dealing with the clear ones

Hi, I also got this bug now. I was watching a few super high-quality videos and my screen blacked out for a bit (videos were still running) so I closed them (and after closing the edge tabs with the videos, I ended the MS Edge task in Task Manager) and everything refreshed. All taskbar icons re-appeared everything went back to normal except for edge.
My favorite folder icons look without the yellow, and opening a new tab would sometimes not show the background image I have set (If I stop opening new tabs, the background shows up again after another attempt a few seconds later). I also notice a bit of lag in how pages load but seems to only last a bit when I open the browser or when it bugs the new tab and doesn't show the background.
I closed and re-opened the browser
I reset my PC
I ran the antivirus Malwarebytes (even though I knew that was just a memory crash due to high consumption but just in case) and nothing malicious was detected.
Even used the repair feature by going to apps and edge still has the new tab background and favorite folder icon problem.
Mind you every link inside each folder looks perfectly normal and still works just fine (except for some icons of links that are just images, they show like this instead of a blank page which is how it was before.)
Examples here:
Thanks for the response. I only have the one PC. So I am learning to live with the transparent icons in Edge.
The issue is that the folder icon has changed (on some PCs) from being yellow (which is how it has been since the launch of the new Edge):
to being transparent, and therefore much harder to see the icons:
Different PCs, same Windows 11 build and same build of Edge (131.0.2903.70 official build).
Is this being A/B testing or is this a problem on one PC?
