My favourites Bar icons in Windows 11 are not coloured. How can I restore the colour.

I would like to restore colour into my Favourite Bar now they are colourless.

    I have exactly the same issue, currently running Edge Version 131.0.2903.112 (Official build) (64-bit) and Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Build 22631.4602.

    The strange thing is it was fine until literally just now. I already had Edge open, closed it then reopened it do something else and then the folder icons were randomly clear and not yellow.

    The issue is that the folder icon has changed (on some PCs) from being yellow (which is how it has been since the launch of the new Edge):

    to being transparent, and therefore much harder to see the icons:

    Different PCs, same Windows 11 build and same build of Edge (131.0.2903.70 official build).

    Is this being A/B testing or is this a problem on one PC?

    I'm having the same issue. This post describes the issue perfectly. The white folder icons are weird. Hopefully, it's just a bug in the latest Edge update.

    Although I am still on Windows 10, I have the same problem which materialized after MS inserted a page into my Edge browser addressing "Microsoft Edge Year in Review." After cycling through those pages, my Edge folders on the toolbar changed from yellow to white with a black outline. The links in my folders, however, still work. I haven't been able to change the folder icons back to yellow. This occurred this morning, 12/20/2024.

    Another PC and a Surface Go now also have the same issue - it seems to be "spreading"

    Now on Edge Version 131.0.2903.112 (Official build) (64-bit)

    Windows 11 24H2 with various graphics cards (Intel, Intel Arc and nVidia) have now gone from yellow folder icons to outlines, which are almost invisible with some themes.

    Have done SFC /ScanNow which shows no errors and DISM /Online /Cleanup-image which has not fixed it. Also cleared the icon cache in case that was causing the problem.

    Reported through Edge feedback (pointing to this thread as well) - suggest others do the same to make sure that Microsoft see that there is a wider issue.
